OBJECTIVE
The objective of the game is to get Ronnie from the hotel on the right
side of the screen, to the beach on the left. He must make his way to
the beach down the special ramp. Before he can use this ramp, he must
put on his inner-tube which is located somewhere on the resort's lawn.
To achieve his objective he must cleverly use the objects that are
scattered about the game board to help him solve the puzzle.
DEMO PUZZLE
There is a special Demo puzzle which can be loaded from the Select
Puzzle Menu. This Demo will lead you through a sample puzzle showing
you the objects that Ronnie can encounter on the other puzzles. This
is the best way to learn how to play the game.
GAME PLAY
When the game begins, you will have the opportunity to select a puzzle
to play. Once you have chosen a puzzle it will be loaded onto the game
board. Ronnie will begin on the right side of the board next to the
resort hotel.
Using the arrow keys, you can move Ronnie up, down, right and left.
The < J > key is used to help Ronnie jump over objects, but can only be
used if he is jumping onto the resort's only trampoline.
GAME OBJECTS
There are many items Ronnie will encounter on his quest to reach the
beach. These objects can be used by Ronnie in different ways to achieve
his objective.
Gray Rock Walls: These are rock walls that Ronnie cannot move.
Blue Water : Ronnie cannot swim very well, so he cannot go into
Streams these streams. The only way a grid of water (stream)
can be removed is by using the beach balls. If
Ronnie has the inner tube around him, he can wade
across only one grid of water. If his is in the
water, he cannot push any other objects.
Red Beach Balls: Ronnie can push these beach balls in any direction.
A ball will continue in the direction pushed until it
either hits the side of the game board or another
object. If a ball is pushed into one of the lawn's
streams (blue grids), it will float down in direction
of the ocean. When the ball reaches the end of the
stream, it will remove itself from the game board along
with the last grid of water it was located on.
Green Lawn : Ronnie can push these chairs in any direction. They
Chairs can help him to strategically reposition the beach
balls. Chairs cannot float ,so if they are pushed into
water, they will sink.
Ivy Covered : Ronnie can walk under these in any direction. Once he
Trellis passes through them however, they will collapse and he
will not be able to go back under them. No other
objects can go through a trellis whether standing or
collapsed.
Magic Blue : On some puzzles there are two blue umbrellas. If
Umbrellas Ronnie passes under one, he will reappear under the
other one located elsewhere on the resort's lawn. No
other objects can go under these umbrellas.
Yellow Inner : Ronnie is not a good swimmer, so he must first put on
Tube this inner tube before he can walk down the ramp to the
beach. When he has the inner tube around him, he can
wade across one grid of water only.
Large Gray : Ronnie can go under and through it in any direction,
House but all other objects cannot.
Small Tool : The tool shed is off limits to all of the resort's
Shed guests, but sometimes Ronnie must go through it in
order to reach the inner tube. When Ronnie goes
through the shed, he will accidently turn on the
sprinkler system.
Sprinklers : The sprinklers will appear only if Ronnie happens to
go through the tool shed. For each puzzle, the
sprinklers will always appear in the same location.
No objects or even Ronnie can go through a sprinkler.
Sometimes they can help him by being strategically
placed so that he can use them to reposition the beach
balls. If an object (any object) is located on top a
sprinkler before it has been activated by Ronnie going
through the tool shed, then it will never appear.
White : This is the resort's only trampoline. Ronnie can push
Trampoline the trampoline in any direction. He can use it to jump
over any object. Pressing the < J > key will activate
Ronnie's Jump.
Shuffle Board : On some puzzles there is a shuffle board. Only Ronnie
can go onto it. If Ronnie steps onto any part of the
board, then he will automatically slide to the end of
the board.
Bridge : Sometimes there is a wooden bridge across the streams.
All objects can pass over it. Nothing can pass under
it, including floating beach balls.
Beach Ramp : This is the ramp leading down to the ocean. Ronnie
cannot use it until he has the inner tube around him.
